Becoming A Snowflake

Jonathan Card, AIA gave us the opportunity to reprise our identity work for him this Christmas. We deconstructed the pattern we originally designed for him, creating a descending set of variations that begins to resemble holiday ornaments or snowflakes.

The idea was his, the delight in getting to produce the design was ours. Creating the original pattern was a exacting, methodical and well researched process; taking it apart was an intuitive and gestural act. Large or small, we attempt to keep both approaches on the table in every project.
