An odd pairing, Design Within Reach and Austin’s own No Comply Skateshop sponsored a ‘design the modern board’ competition. FÖDA decided to use this as an opportunity to talk about the way cities work, the link between modernism and skating, and to pull stuff out of the drawer that we never get to use in our more serious brand and identity development campaigns. Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland has been creating fine chocolate for over 70 years. Starting from a small town in the Swiss Alps, they expanded to Zurich, New York City, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and now our beloved Austin. Webber+Studio and FÖDA Studio are designing the Austin store and identity systems with a finish that is as elegant and decadently simple as the chocolates themselves. Angus Black will open his new chocolatier at 409 West 2nd Street around the end of October.
